The girl and her furry friend arrived at the river’s end, facing a small coastal village.

They settled at a bar for refreshments, noticing that the locals looked a bit worried. Curious, the girl engaged the barkeeper in conversation, discovering his concerns about a massive, active underwater volcano right in front of the village, lurking beneath the ocean’s surface.

Its activity did increase a few days ago. The barkeepers friend is a local scientist, he was also at the bar and joined the conversation. He asked the girl and her companion to install some monitoring systems down at the oceans surface. They wanted to help, so they agreed! 

After receiving the monitoring equipment and the heat-resistant protective suit, they made their way to the harbor and settled on a rock right at the water’s edge. The cat, because of the danger, was unable to join her. So the girl left the cat behind on the surface and bravely jumped into the water. 

As the girl dove deeper towards the ocean floor, the heat grew increasingly intense. 

Lava was already surfacing everywhere, and the ocean turned a glowing red. 

“I am unable to install the warning system; it’s too late. I need to resurface and evacuate the residents before it’s too late.”
